WX SCHOLARSHIPS
for the 2011-2012 Academic Year
WX (Executive Women in Real Estate) has offered scholarships to women in Real Estate programs since 2005. Since inception, WX has awarded more than $400,000 to 80 scholarship recipients at 6 schools. In the 2011/12 Academic year, the goal of WX is to expand the program further. We are encouraging women in qualified programs not normally part of the WX outreach, to apply directly to the organization for consideration.
Each scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates academic excellence and financial need, and who is likely to work in the New York City metropolitan area upon graduation.
The WX Scholarship Committee will evaluate student applicants and designate the winner or winners, in accordance with the timeline outlined in the following application materials.

WX awards scholarships on an annual basis to promising women students studying real estate. WX is pleased to offer scholarships to women in qualified graduate or undergraduate real estate-related programs. Qualified programs can include full or part time graduate or undergraduate programs in a real estate related discipline, including but not limited to real estate finance, law, architecture, construction or design. Applicants must have completed a significant portion of the required coursework for the degree or major, before scholarship funds are awarded. Students must be enrolled in school during the full 2011-2012 academic year. The criteria we use in awarding scholarships are as follows in order of importance: i) academic merit and demonstrated interest in real estate, through courses, clubs, internships, job experience, etc.; ii) financial need; and iii) likelihood of working in the New York metropolitan area upon graduation. Candidates who have applied previously (including prior scholarship recipients) and who meet the above criteria may reapply.
