The WX Scholarship Program's goal is to encourage and support bright and talented young women in their pursuit of careers in real estate and real estate related professions. In keeping with our mission, WX awards scholarships on an annual basis to promising students studying real estate at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The criteria we use in awarding scholarships are as follows in order of importance i) academic merit and demonstrated interest in real estate, through courses, clubs, internships, job experience, etc.; ii)financial need and iii)likelihood of working in the New York metropolitan area. Scholarships can range from $2,000 to $10,000 for tuition expenses and certain candidates have the ability to reapply for subsequent years. We tailor the program and application process to suit the needs of our participating schools, their calendars, curricula, etc.
In addition to the financial benefit the scholarships provide, WX scholarship recipients also benefit from mentoring opportunities with WX members where we can assist recipients with career guidance. WX also hosts networking events described below that cater to young professionals.

Conversations
An interactive panel providing a unique opportunity for female students and junior professionals interested in real estate to converse with the leading female executives in New Yorks dynamic real estate industry.

Perspectives
WX’s annual gathering of WX Members and junior women real estate professionals. Previous topics have included: "Green" is Money; Private Equity Perspectives; NY State of Mind – Real Estate Trends in New York City; and A Survival Handbook – Career Strategies for Women in Real Estate.

Mentoring
The goal of the WX mentoring program is to promote the advancement of women in the real estate professions, by introducing mentees to career opportunities and female leaders in various real estate fields, through formal programs and formal and informal mentoring, and by using the knowledge and experience of the WX members to assist mentees as they begin their real estate careers. 

Scholarship recipients are also invited to all WX events and will be hosted by a member of the WX Scholarship Committee. A sampling of these events include:

Opportunity to meet and network with a broader section of commercial real estate population within New York City.

Monthly Breakfasts
WX holds monthly breakfast meetings for members and invited guests. A distinguished speaker or panel in the field of Real Estate or related topic is showcased.
