Workplace of the Future – Double Visions: How Different Workplace Strategies Are Shaping The Space, Culture And Technology Of Work

The program will explore new concepts, current projects and views of impending opportunities and pitfalls on the workplace horizon, and will be structured with an introduction followed by a panel discussion and Q+A.

The session will begin with a quick overview of industry trends and themes drawing on recent examples from companies such as Jet Blue, NBA, Computer Associates, Sesame Workshop and the Omnicom Group.

Two divergent trends and the confusion between them will be defined and discussed: Cost control through “real estate efficiency” versus increasing investment in the workplace as a vital “business tool” to be leveraged for sustainability and growth. We will explore the long term impacts of these trends and what the “Workplace of the Future” may look like as these strategies are played out.

These alternate visions of the “Workplace of the Future” will be further explored through case studies.   A Representative from Google’s New York City office will present Google’s view on the workplace as well as their collaborative approach in working with their Architect on a continuing basis on their workplace innovation and growth.

The case studies will be followed-up with closing comments and then open up a Q&A discussion with the audience.
